i was wondering if someone could tell me / provide code to make a custom music disc for minecraft. (Also throwing in some stuff about armor and weapons would be nice too)

I am new to modding and is making a mod for 1.18 using eclipse

You need to register a SoundEvent and a RecordItem. Both of them are normal registry entries, refer to the documentation for registries if you need info on how those works.
