I'm completely new to everything in Java, forge and minecraft modding. Me and my friends got the idea to start a server just for the 3 of us. But now to my question. How does the concept of used ram work? I assign a specific amount of ram to minecraft itself, and to my mod folder and then there's an amount of ram for servers. Are all these numbers calculated together? Like if I assign 8GB of ram to minecraft and 8GB of ram to my modpack, is it making use of over 16GB in the end? This question could be pretty self explanatory, but right now I don't really get the whole concept I think
