not able to install forge for minecraft 1.5.1

So I got a modpack that needed forge for 1.5.1 so i downloaded it. i looked at tutorials and when i went to .minecraft in my appdata folder, i opened  the bin folder but didn't see minecraft.jar only some folders which had nothing useful. no matter what i did i couldn't find it. i even searched my entire drive and couldn't find ANY file named minecraft.jar the closest i could find is minecraft_server.jar but that is for mcedit

If anyone could help me that would be great!
