Adding new tile entity to vanilla block

I'm new to Forge and Java, and I'm trying to add a new slot to enchanting table.

Is it possible to add a new tile entity to an existing block, or do I have to add a new block?

I'm using version 1.16.5.

    But, does the capability system allow me to for example disable book floating on enchanting table if the slot new is empty?
