Okay so I have checked your EAQ and rules etc. I tried your windows fix because perhaps the path had been changed by a program. So I ran the exe that was on major geeks. This hasn't fixed my issue at all. I can't run the installer and nothing even comes up in the task manager. I'm new to the whole 1.6 installation so am I doing something wrong. here's what I did to trouble shoot:

deleted .minecraft and reinstalled

tried running the installer by double clicking minecraft forge universal bla bla bla.jar

^ that didn't do anything. It's like the file is empty yet when I open it with 7zip all the correct files are in the .jar.

I have tried re-downloading the file and running it. this has also not worked.

There are no logs to post because this has something either to do with me, or the installer or my pc itself.

So can someone help?

I was using the latest build. I will try all builds but I doubt that'll help.
