Hi,

I'm working on a mod. And i'm trying to register my ToolClasses. This code:

	EnumToolMaterial BEDRITE = EnumHelper.addToolMaterial("BEDRITE",3,2542,20.0F,3.0F,20);
private static final Item toolPickaxeBedrite = new ToolPickaxeBedrite(5029, EnumToolMaterial.BEDRITE).setUnlocalizedName("BedritePick");
private static final Item toolShovelBedrite = new tutorial.generic.items.tools.toolShovelBedrite(5030, EnumToolMaterial.BEDRITE).setUnlocalizedName("BedriteShovel");
private static final Item genericIngot = new GenericItem(5001).setMaxStackSize(16).setCreativeTab(CreativeTabs.tabMisc).setUnlocalizedName("genericIngot");
private static final Item CreeperCharger = new GenericItem(5028).setMaxStackSize(1).setCreativeTab(CreativeTabs.tabMisc).setUnlocalizedName("CreeperCharger");
public final static Block genericDirt = new GenericBlock(500, Material.ground)
    .setHardness(0.5F).setStepSound(Block.soundGravelFootstep)
    .setUnlocalizedName("genericDirt").setCreativeTab(CreativeTabs.tabBlock);//.func_111022_d("noahsmod:magicdirt2");
public final static Block BedriteBlock = new tutorial.generic.blocks.BedriteBlock(601, Material.rock)
    .setHardness(1.0F).setStepSound(Block.soundMetalFootstep)
    .setUnlocalizedName("BedriteBlock").setCreativeTab(CreativeTabs.tabBlock).func_111022_d("noahsmod:BedriteBlock");
public final static Block BedriteOre = new tutorial.generic.BedriteOre(559, Material.rock)
    .setHardness(1.0F).setStepSound(Block.soundMetalFootstep)
    .setUnlocalizedName("BedriteOre").setCreativeTab(CreativeTabs.tabMaterials).func_111022_d("noahsmod:BedriteOre");

works in Eclipse but crashes mc at launch because of the 2nd line (JavaLangNoFieldError BedRite)

What's wrong here

(This is my first mod...)

Don't use EnumToolMaterial.BEDRITE, instead use just BEDRITE. Did you edit the EnumToolMaterial class? If so,

DON'T!!!

Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support.

1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support.

So, Something like this:

BEDRITE = new EnumHelper.AddToolMaterial("BEDRITE",3,2542,20.0F,3.0F,20);
private static final Item toolPickaxeBedrite = new ToolPickaxeBedrite(5029, EnumToolMaterial.BEDRITE).setUnlocalizedName("BedritePick");
private static final Item toolShovelBedrite = new tutorial.generic.items.tools.toolShovelBedrite(5030, EnumToolMaterial.BEDRITE).setUnlocalizedName("BedriteShovel");

But it gives me a Error at the first BEDRITE:

Syntax error on token "BEDRITE", VariableDeclaratorId expected after this token

NOOOOO!!!!!!

Try something more like:

EnumToolMaterial BEDRITE = new EnumHelper.AddToolMaterial("BEDRITE",3,2542,20.0F,3.0F,20);
private static final Item toolPickaxeBedrite = new ToolPickaxeBedrite(5029, BEDRITE).setUnlocalizedName("BedritePick");
private static final Item toolShovelBedrite = new tutorial.generic.items.tools.toolShovelBedrite(5030, BEDRITE).setUnlocalizedName("BedriteShovel");

.... You need to learn java. Now, yesterday, THREE YEARS AGO!!!

I am Mew. The Legendary Psychic. I behave oddly and am always playing practical jokes.

I have also found that I really love making extremely long and extremely but sometimes not so descriptive variables. Sort of like what I just did there xD
