So I downloaded forge 1.8.9 and when I try to open forge with java, a random black screen appears for like a second and closes. There is nothing in/on the black screen. I tried reinstalling java, forge, and Minecraft, but nothing works.

The version you are using is no longer supported on this forum.

Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.

Currently supported versions are 1.19.2 (Latest) and 1.18.2 (LTS).
