Hello,

When some one join my 1.18.2 modded server they get the folloing error : Failed to log in : The authentication server are currently not reachable please try again later.

But when turnig off the  online mod it works just fine frends & I can connect

What's the problem ? and how can i fix it ?

My regards Black_Darte

Could you provide the debug.log when someone is trying to connect to the server? If the servers aren't reachable, you may not have the correct configuration or that whoever is joining is not currently logged into an account.

Well, it seems as though your client failed to authenticate. In order to root out one of the more common issues, we'll need to see your hosts file. Here's the steps to getting this file.

1) Press the Win + R key on your keyboard.

2) Paste the following into the prompt that opens: notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

3) Use Ctrl+A to select everything in the file, then Ctrl+C into the textbox to post to this thread.

So whenever i enter the commend, a window appear and say "nothing is threre create a new folder ? " i use it wight 64 insted of 32 and the result is no files  founds.

I'am i missing somthing ?

hosts is not a text file, so I don't know why it would be appearing as such. Would you mind navigating to the location manually? The casing may be different, but it should still get you to the same location.

Could you do `ping authserver.mojang.com` in a terminal? It's quite strange that it is having trouble reaching the authentication servers unless something else is happening.

So, after talking it over with somebody who knows more about connection protocols, it is likely that you have an improperly configured firewall that only blocking traffic in one direction instead of both as it is trying to connect with ipv6. You either need to block both directions or neither.

It's not a firewall thing, it has to do with what you are using to connect with your ip address, either ipv4 or ipv6. From what I've been told, it's likely that one direction is blocking the ipv6 traffic, using ipv4 instead preventing the connection from occurring. As such, you need to change the settings for your device or router to either block ipv6 traffic incoming and outgoing, or don't block either. How to do so, you'll probably need to google for your specific device/router.
