Items wont stack

Have some mods and I just cant find which one is causing the problem.
When I check the tags on the items using /data get entity @p Inventory

[{Slot: 0b, id: "minecraft:stripped_oak_log", Count 22b, tag {}},
{Slot: 1b, id: "minecraft:stripped_oak_log", Count 1b}]

When I place an item the rest of the stack is given tag{} and the one on the ground when I pick it up doesn't have that tag. When I disable all my mods the items don't get the tag.
