[1.18.2] How to add custom item to vanilla's loot tables(chests)?

Recommended Posts

I have a disc which i want to generate in igloo chest. I tried to do it via LootModifier. There are some code i used, but it doesn't work:

public class DiscUAAdditionModifier extends LootModifier {
    private final Item addition;

    protected DiscUAAdditionModifier(LootItemCondition[] conditionsIn, Item addition) {
        this.addition = addition;

    protected List<ItemStack> doApply(List<ItemStack> generatedLoot, LootContext context) {
        generatedLoot.add(new ItemStack(addition, 1));
        return generatedLoot;

    public static class Serializer extends GlobalLootModifierSerializer<DiscUAAdditionModifier> {

        public DiscUAAdditionModifier read(ResourceLocation name, JsonObject object,
                                                      LootItemCondition[] conditionsIn) {
            Item addition = ForgeRegistries.ITEMS.getValue(
                    new ResourceLocation(GsonHelper.getAsString(object, "addition")));
            return new DiscUAAdditionModifier(conditionsIn, addition);

        public JsonObject write(DiscUAAdditionModifier instance) {
            JsonObject json = makeConditions(instance.conditions);
            json.addProperty("addition", ForgeRegistries.ITEMS.getKey(instance.addition).toString());
            return json;

@Mod.EventBusSubscriber(modid = SCIMod.MODID, bus = Mod.EventBusSubscriber.Bus.MOD)
public class ModEventBusEvents {

    public static void registerModifierSerializers(@Nonnull final RegistryEvent.Register<GlobalLootModifierSerializer<?>>
                                                           event) {
                new DiscUAAdditionModifier.Serializer().setRegistryName
                        (new ResourceLocation(SCIMod.MODID,"disc_igloo"))

and the json file:

  "conditions": [
      "condition": "forge:loot_table_id",
      "loot_table_id": "minecraft:chests/igloo_chest"
  "addition": "sci:disc_mod",
  "type": "sci:disc_igloo"
