How do I setup a server for 1.19.2? (Installer doesn't give me any .jar files)

I'm asking cuz the forge installer seems to just spit out files that are not .jar files for the server package, so I can't even get started to set my server up.

The installer is a jar. When running the install server option, it generates a folder and some scripts. Run the script associated with your operating system and the server will start.

running the .batch didn't do anything, beside bring up a window that told me to press any button to continue and the closed itself and that's it, idk if I'm doing something wrong or the entire forge series from 1.17 up to 1.19 is just borked beyond believe.

game changed the way you create foods.
for example minecraft 1.21.8 code for the golden apple is
