jissee Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 I want to download a new version of forge server, but it fails because of connection problems. I have tried to change network environment and used proxy but nothing works. This is the log: https://pastebin.com/V207Ehy3 Quote
ChampionAsh5357 Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 In order to root out one of the more common issues, we'll need to see your hosts file. Here's the steps to getting this file. 1) Press the Win + R key on your keyboard. 2) Paste the following into the prompt that opens: 'notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts' (/etc/hosts for Linux) 3) Use Ctrl+A to select everything in the file, then Ctrl+C into the textbox to post to this thread. jissee Posted March 21, 2023 Author Posted March 21, 2023 This is the "hosts" file, which i had never modified. # Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp. # # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows. # # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name. # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one # space. # # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol. # # For example: # # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself. # 127.0.0.1 localhost # ::1 localhost Quote
