Forge 1.10.2-12.18.3.2477 does not install correct in new Minecraft Launcher

I installed forge 1.10.2 12.18.3.2477 client side - installation indicated successful.  Two folders in \versions were created

  1.  A 1.10.2 folder with json and jar files
  2.  A 1.10.2 12.18.3.2477 folder with ONLY a json file, NO jar file.

Launcher recognizes the new .2477 forge install but gives warning and doesn't run the program. Any tips, suggestions, references for help are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

The version you are using is no longer supported on this forum.

Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.

Currently supported versions are 1.19.4 (Latest) and 1.18.2 (LTS).
