I installed forge 1.12.2 and this installed instead of the java version, please help!

So I install forge from your website and a winrar file called: "forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2860-installer" gets installed instead of a java file.
Any ideas how to fix this issue?

I downloaded java 17 and did the jarfix but the forge is still not a version for me.

Winrar likes to take control of jar files, but you can still open them with java.

Additionally, 1.12.2 is out of support and you will need to upgrade to 1.18.x or 1.19.x to receive support.
