So i am trying to make a Minecraft Forge 1.12.2 Mod that will  make it so when anyoen types /msg and then the name of the player hwo has the Mod installed and the Message : "$kit" that the player with the Mod will automaticly reply with "Please enter a Kit name or ID!". And i am done with the code but when i run the client Mod then i get this erorr anyoen can help?:

Execution failed for task ':runClient'.
> Process 'command 'C:\Users\NAME\.gradle\jdks\adoptium-8-x64-hotspot-windows\bin\java.exe'' finished with non-zero exit value -1

 

I have JDK 17

Minecraft 1.12.2 uses Java 8.

Otherwise, the version you are using is no longer supported on this forum.

Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.

Currently, supported versions are 1.19.4 (Latest) and 1.18.2 (LTS).
