Posted June 19, 20232 yr Hello everybody I am trying to create a mod with custom mob drops. I want add custom mob drops to my mod. But for some reason the mob drop overrides the custom mob drop. Can somebody explain to me on how to add a custom loot table without overriding a loot table. { "type": "minecraft:entity", "pools": [ { "rolls": 1, "bonus_rolls": 0, "entries": [ { "type": "minecraft:item", "name": "examplemod:infected_ingot" } ], "conditions": [ { "condition": "minecraft:random_chance_with_looting", "chance": 0.5, "looting_multiplier": 0.01 }, { "condition": "minecraft:killed_by_player" } ] } ] } This file is located in src/main/resources/minecraft/loot_tables/entities/zombie.json This mod is for 1.20.1
June 19, 20232 yr I haven't done anything with 1.20.1 yet, but I believe what you're trying to do needs to be done via Global Loot Modifiers and writing up a file that injects into the existing vanilla loot table, because what you posted here looks like it's supposed to overwrite it. So I would say that the first thing you need to do is become familiar with that and how it works in 1.20.1 and then go from there.
July 19, 20232 yr this is a totorial for loot tables but his website dont work so use thi website https://misode.github.io/loot-table/ and you need to do an data pack before so that your mob actualy drops the items you want here is another tutorial from him
