Block above my block are breaking

For some reason, when I place a block, the block above breaks. In an attempt to fix the problem, I created a new mod that has only a block with custom textures and still the problem remains. I don't know at all why this is happening. What could be the problem?
Forge version 40.2.4

I should have been more careful.. the problem was that I was registering the block item as a DoubleBlockItem. Problem solved.
