TombStone is a mod originally created by Chessmaster42 for Minecraft (Forge Mod Loader). It is a "death chest" mod (i.e. it stored your inventory in a chest when you die so you can take your time getting back to it). What I like most about TombStone is that it doesn't require you to carry any special item for it to work and since it uses a custom block, you can't use repeated suicides to farm chests. Furthermore, you can craft decorative tombstones to give you Minecraft village a graveyard.

Features:

- Creates a tombstone when you die that shows your username, cause of death, and date of death

- Stores your inventory on death in the tombstone, which can be accessed like a chest (it does not take items from hoppers)

- Option to change security level on the tombstones (anyone can loot, team only looting, or owner-only looting)

- Tombstones have 16 orientations, like a sign post)

- Customizable date formatting

I've been helping Chessmaster42 keep the TombStone mod up to date and I think it no longer needs the "work in progress" (WIP) label. The TombStone mod now does exactly what it advertises and does it well.

I am looking for a tombstone/gravestone mod for 1.5.2 and I saw this one. I tried it, and the grave spawns correctly, but the items are scattered around the grave instead of placed in the grave's inventory. Is there something I am doing wrong? Thanks ahead of time!

    • I've been trying to find a solution for this for the past few days and cant seem to find it anywhere.   What i want to do is basically set my player's head pitch without the server noticing it. Basically client-side change.   Is there a way to do this? With mixins or anything else?   Thanks in advance.

    • I have followed a tutorial on how to generate ores for my mod though the data files have not been generated despite me running data in my IDE.  I have looked over and compared my code multiple times and the only differences are either with the IDs or with unnecessary code because of what my mod is (The mod is for the End so I don't need the Overworld or Nether ores), my folders are all in the right structure and no warnings are present when ran.
