Posted November 4, 201312 yr Hi, is it possible to get the coordinates of every wood block in a tree? I realise that this could be done by just searching for all wood blocks in a radius, but that would also return wood blocks not actually part of the tree and even blocks connected to the tree by leaves. I know that tree feller mods do this somehow. November 4, 201312 yr You need a lot of "if" statements. if(world.getBlockID(x, y, z) == Block.leaves.blockID { world.setBlockToAir(x, y, z) }
November 4, 201312 yr There is nothing linking log blocks in a tree. There are just log blocks. You'll have to make educated guess for what should be considered a "tree", and what shouldn't. I have some tree algorithm, here.
November 4, 201312 yr Author Thanks for sharing! Would you mind giving me a quick rundown on how I would use your algorithm? Thanks! "Thinking that coding is the nerdy IT guy at work rebooting your computer is like thinking that music is what happens when the piano tuner comes round." - Ed Rex
