How do I disable Phantoms?

Featured Replies

On my game they're invisible. They drag you into the roof and make you "suffocate in a wall" then when I go back all my items are gone for some reason. I don't care if all of that is a bug or a feature or whatever, I hate them. How do you disable them?

I need to know this as well for the Nether Wasps because I have a phobia of them and would like to come out of peaceful mode someday.

I've been looking for this answer as well. I'm tired of them killing me before I can get anything accomplished in the nether. I finally found where to disable them. I'm on a Mac so it might be a bit different on a PC (and I also have MoCreatures installed so that might alter where it is as well). I found the correct config file in my minecraft folder under config>MoCreatures>Creatures>BiomesOPlenty.cfg Open the config file with a text editor and look under the "entity-canspawn settings". Change the "true" in the phantom line to "false" and close/save the file. The person who fears the nether wasps can do the same in the "wasps=" line. (Which I haven't even encountered yet. I saw the hives and wondered what special hell they contained.)

I hope this helps. I hope I explained it clearly enough and it's somewhere similar on a PC. This is my first post here and I'm new to using mods and tweaking the config files, but so far so good with the help of these forums and others.
