The game crashed whilst rendering overlay Error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Couldn't watch config file. Tried forge 47.2.20, 50.1.0, and 50.1.12 with the same results.

Running on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, OpenJDK version 21.0.4. Base game launches fine, No mods installed for the moment.

Edit: followed the instructions in other posts for Code 255: deleting file forge-client.toml with no effect. File reappears with each launch.
