[SOLVED]Adding vanilla mob drops being spazzy….

So I have this here event handler method…

public void onLivingDeathEvent(LivingDeathEvent event)
	Entity e = event.entity;
	double rand = Math.random();
	if(e instanceof EntitySkeleton)

		System.out.println("a skele iz ded!!!");
		if(rand < 1D)
			e.dropItem(Items.skull, 1);


Skeletons do drop skulls, however sometimes the skulls seem to be "ghosts" -- you cannot pick them up. also, hoppers cannot pick them up. Am I doing something wrong???
