Hi, can anyone help me with that ? I really want and i search very long time, but nothing found .. So i have glass and i want to connect each other like Tinker's Construct clear glass. Thanks.

You need 47 different textures for each possibility. You also need a way to check the surroundings of that block, and set the texture based on the surroundings.

Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support.

You need some clever use of the method which fetches the icon for each side of the block. I won't go into detail about that. You just need to check any surrounding blocks and see if they are of the same type, then determine which texture (from a list of textures for all 2^4=16 possible states) to use.

Hi

If you just need the glass to be connected in the same way as normal glass is connected, this link might help

If you're just starting out modding, might be best to start with something very simple first (like an ordinary block) and work up from there.  Lots of tutorials on this forum in the "tutorials" section.

Also, to reduce redundancy in textures (so you don't have to create 16 different textures), you could create a custom block renderer (ISimpleBlockRenderHandler) for your glass block. You'd have a single image that is the edge of the block, and use the tessellator in your custom renderer to draw the edges of a face depending on the blocks around it.

I like to make mods, just like you. Here's one worth checking out
