March 31, 201411 yr Learn to read stacktraces. You are adding name at com.DarktStriker.BioniCraft.dsbionicraft.preInit(dsbionicraft.java:194) to null object. You can't do that. Also this is deprecated function, so try to avoid it. Use lang files from this tutorial instead.
March 31, 201411 yr Author thanks, I changed the lang files. But still with the null object. I've looked into it but I still don't understand what to change exactly...
April 2, 201411 yr Author Okay, here's the link to my code: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/e369a10763803e68ff0c
April 3, 201411 yr Author okay, that was helpful. I went through and fixed HarakekePlantBlock. Then when I tried t run it again it came up with another error, here's the error report; I took a look and I didn't understand the issue: ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // Daisy, daisy... April 3, 201411 yr ItemBlocks use the Block texture sheet and will render as your block renders; you should not register icons to your custom ItemBlock, as that will attempt to access the Item sprite sheet and crash. http://i.imgur.com/NdrFdld.png[/img]
April 3, 201411 yr In your custom ItemBlock class, remove everything to do with icons, such as the "registerIcons" method. For reference, this is what one of my custom ItemBlock classes looks like: public class ItemSecretStone extends ItemBlockWithMetadata { public ItemSecretStone(Block block) { super(block, block); } @Override public String getItemStackDisplayName(ItemStack stack) { return StatCollector.translateToLocal(getUnlocalizedName() + (stack.getItemDamage() > 7 ? ".name.unbreakable" : ".name")); } } The only reason I even needed a custom class was to get the display name to work as I wanted (that and the vanilla ItemBlockWithMetadata no longer works when registering blocks, but that's another issue), otherwise I would just use the vanilla ItemBlock class. http://i.imgur.com/NdrFdld.png[/img]
April 3, 201411 yr Author I went through all my classes and removed the Icon Register, but it still crashes Here is the error report, but I think it's still the same: ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // You should try our sister game, Minceraft! April 3, 201411 yr Did you happen to override the getSpriteNumber method in any of your Item classes? /** * Returns 0 for /terrain.png (i.e. Blocks), 1 for /gui/items.png */ @SideOnly(Side.CLIENT) public int getSpriteNumber() { return 1; } http://i.imgur.com/NdrFdld.png[/img]
