Hello everyone, I am making a mod called More Ores and Tools. I know the name is a bit bland but it's subject to change just like anything in the mod.

 

About this mod

 

The reason I made More Ores and Tools is I wanted to make more ores in the world with their own Tools and Armor sets to expand the game more so I decided to pick up modding again and went to work with making this mod and slowly adding features into the mod and releasing version for everyone to try out.

Ores

 

MalachiteOre

 

MalachiteOre is the most common ore. MalachiteOre can spawn in vains of 1 - 6 and height of 0 - 80.

RubyOre

 

RubyOre is a bit rarer. RubyOre can spawn in vains of 1 - 5 and height of 0 - 75.

SapphireOre

 

SapphireOre is a bit rarer than RubyOre. SapphireOre can spawn in vains of 1 - 4 and height of 0 - 65.

RoseQuartzOre

 

RoseQuartzOre spawns in the Nether and can spawn up to 6 in a vain and spawns from 0 - 200 in the nether. Currently WIP so RoseQuartz does noting at the moment but it can spawn and you can mine it.

Blocks

 

Malachite Block

 

Malachite Block is like a Diamond block it's there for decoration and can be made by filling the crafting bench with Malachite. If you put the Malachite Block into the crafting table it will return 9 Malachite.

Ruby Block

 

Ruby Block is like a Diamond block it's there for decoration and can be made by filling the crafting bench with Ruby. If you put the Ruby Block into the crafting table it will return 9 Ruby.

Sapphire Block

 

Sapphire Block is like a Diamond block it's there for decoration and can be made by filling the crafting bench with Sapphire. If you put the Sapphire Block into the crafting table it will return 9 Sapphire.

Malachite

 

Malachite can be made by smelting MalachiteOre in a furnace.

Tools

 

MalachiteTools

 

I have added tools for Malachite they are crafted like any other tools. They are slightly better than Stone tools but weaker than Iron.

RubyTools

 

I have added tools for Ruby they are crafted like any other tools. They are slightly better than Iron tools but weaker than Diamond.

SapphireTools

 

I have added tools for Sapphire they are crafted like any other tools. They are better than Ruby and have more uses and a better chance of getting a good enchant. Sapphire tools can also mine obsidian.

Changelog

 

V0.0.1 - Release mod

 

V0.0.2 - Added Ruby Armor and changed around RubyOre and TinOre. TinOre is now common and RubyOre is now rare. Also changed around RubyTools and TinTools stats.

 

V0.0.3 - Changed TinOre, TinTools and Tin to MalachiteOre, MalachiteTools and Malachite. I added Malachite Armor. I added a new ore called SapphireOre with it's own Tools and Armor set. Also added Sapphire. I also added a enchantment room in More Ores and Tools showcase world so you can test the enchantments with the new Items.

 

V0.0.4 - I added a new Ore called RoseQuartz and at the moment does noting. I made the custom tabs neater. I added Blocks for Malachite, Ruby and Sapphire. Lastly I changed a few values around with the Tools and Armor.

Install

 

1. Download and Install Forge: Here

2. Download the Mod above

3. Go to your "minecraft" folder

4. Put the downloaded archive in "mods" folder (if you don't have one make one)

5. (Optional) Put the More Ores and Tools Showcase in your saves folder so you can test the map without exploring.

6. Start your Minecraft and choose at "Profiles" Forge then click on Play

7.Enjoy

Nice Mod! No problems with it yet. I'm actually surprised that there are 4 new ores even though it's only in 0.0.4. I'll look out for 0.0.5

You should add the tools/armor for emeralds. Just a suggestion

You have to use forge.

 

1.Download the forge installer

2.Install Forge

3.Open your .minecraft files(Look it up)

4.Put this mod in the "mods" folder.

 

Go to files.minecraftforge.net
