Hi, this is my first post here so sorry if I'm breaching a sacred rule in someway.

First, my experience with Minecraft Forge so far:

I've completed all of Wuppy's 1.7.2 Tutorials as well as watched his live stream videos.

I've created my own blocks, items, tools, armor, and mob entities with AI attributes.

I want to create a typewriter object that would take up two blocks (similar to a storage container) and when right clicked it would open up a new screen that had a cursor and allowed me to write.  I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.  I'm not exactly sure how I'm supposed to implement it but as of now it seems as though I need to use a Tile Entity.  Is this right or am I mistaken?

Thanks!

Look at the way the books work since you can edit those in a similar way you are describing. After that, you could check out the ComputerCraft source.
