Changing Mob Textures/Drops

Okay i want to make a new mob a zombiepig. It should be just like a normal pig but with another texture and dropping another item. So if i create a class (e.g. EntityZombiepig) and let it extend the class of the normal pig can i change the dropped item there? And if i can how would i do this?

Same with the texture can i create a class RenderEntityZombiepig extends the normal RenderPig class of Minecraft and chance the texture in it?
