[1.7.2] Item durability in crafting recipes

I am new to modding and the Java programing language. I have come from scripting with Javascript and PHP.


I have my Item


package com.nawm.butchery.items;

import net.minecraft.creativetab.CreativeTabs;
import net.minecraft.item.Item;
import net.minecraft.item.ItemStack;

import com.nawm.butchery.Butchery;

public class ItemCleaver extends Item {

public ItemCleaver() {
	setTextureName(Butchery.MODID + ":" + getUnlocalizedName().substring(5));



and my Recipe it is used in


GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(ModItems.RawBacon, 4), new Object[]{
		'X', Items.porkchop, 'Y', new ItemStack(ModItems.Cleaver, 1, -1)



I want my Cleaver Item to return to player with durability damage. Like the SAW from microblocks.
