[1.7.2] Config file for my mod

I am rather new to modding and haven't found a tutorial for generating a config file for my mod, if some one could direct me to a tutorial or tell me how to do so i would be very happy for that.

 

OR

 

Tell me how to set the Item id in the code and i know that 1.7 doesn't need an id, but it would be nice to know
