Simple Installer does not load - Mac 10.9.4

Hey Folks,

 

When I launch the .jar file, I do not get "the simple installer" screen. I end up with a folder full of files including "the forge-1.7.2-10.12.2.1121-universal.jar" inside. I have no problem creating the proper files, libraries, and folders manually but it would be a whole lot easier if the installer launched instead of giving me a folder. It works on our other Mac just fine. I don't know what's wrong with mine.   

 

If you can think of a work around, that would be great.
