Posted October 9, 201410 yr Hi, I have a TileEntity that renders an item (similar to an ItemFrame). However, when I reload the world, the Item no longer renders. It is still held by the TE, and I can remove it and put it back (it renders after I do that), It just doesn't render. I figure that it isn't being sent to the client, and tileentities don't have DataWatchers like entities. Do I need to send a packet? Check out my mod, Realms of Chaos, here. October 9, 201410 yr Assuming you already have the writeToNBT and the readFromNBT method, you only need to override the getDescriptionMethod to return a new S35PacketUpdateTileEntity(x,y,z,3,tag) with tag the a NBTTagCompound on which you called writeToNBT , and the onDataPacket(NetworkManager,S35PacketUpdateTileEntity) method in which you call the readFromNBT with S35PacketUpdateTileEntity#func_148857_g() Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support. 1.12 -> 1.13 primer by williewillus. 1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support. http://www.howoldisminecraft1710.today/
October 9, 201410 yr Author Thanks, but it looks like onDataPacket is now hard coded into NetHandlerPlayClient. Maybe I'll write an FML pull request. Check out my mod, Realms of Chaos, here. If I helped you, be sure to press the "Thank You" button!
