Is it possible to carry mod ID's over across modded instances? (1.7.10)

Hello!

I'm one of the admins for a server called Muicraft and recently we have decided to switch from the DNS Tech Pack to a custom modpack of our own. We wanted to keep player's items, however in 1.7, item id's are no longer stored in mod configuration files. Is there any way to copy the item id's from one modded instance and put them into another modded instance? Perhaps copying a specific file or something?

Thanks!

There is no need. IDs are stored in the World file and assigned dynamically.

But the problem is we were planning to reset the world, and copy over alchemy bag data from ProjectE, which contains all of the items... Is there a specific part of the world file that holds the data in it?

Thanks! With some trickery with NBTExplorer I managed to move over the item ID data.

Thanks again!
