To put it simply my mod Is broken as of 1.8 and I have no idea how to fix it. The main issue is I cant figure out how the new Item and block texture system works and my world generator is completely broken, once again no idea how to fix it.

 

 

To put it simply we can't help with such vague information. Check how vanilla json files assign textures, when you GameRegister.register(block, "block") assets/modid/blockstates/block.json is automagically used to do the heavy lifting, ergo, study vanilla.

I couldn't find mcp for 1.8 to decompile vanilla with and cant seem to access vanilla with forge.

use the forgesrc zip from files.minecraftforge.net, then do the setup with gradle (gradle setupDecompWorkspace), then find forgeSrc-version.jar under libraries in your IDE.

Just go into the

Reference Libraries

section of the project and then look at the forgesrc libraries for all Minecrafts code.

O'k I ran what you told me to. But all the files from vanilla are still not decompiled so I cant even view them.

Gradle for 1.8 for some reason doesn't decompile properly. (I had the same problem)

I think we just have to wait for an update.
