Hey Guys,

I'm following orangeTutorial (forge 1.7)

http://www.orangetutorial.com/blockitem-texture-and-name/

I have a simple question about the assets folder.

That tutorial is using Eclipse, I am familiar with Eclipse but I hate it (Android issues) and have moved to IntelliJ (Since I use Android Studio).

However, my question is... When I right click on the "resources" I'm looking for "package" but instead I only see "folder"

So I'm making the assets file structure as follows using "folder" not package.

src > main > resources > assets.mymod > lang > en_US.lang

src > main > resources > assets.mymod > textures > blocks > orangeBlock.png

Does this look correct to you guys?

I'm not seeing the localized text or his images.

Thanks so much!

I'm using IntelliJ CE 13 (that fix is for 14)

Also I've setup the project following those same steps. I can launch the client and se my block. I can also see the block name (title.mymod_orangeBlock.name)

I'd assume that setting this:

        this.setCreativeTab(CreativeTabs.tabMisc);

        this.setBlockName(Constants.MODID + "_" + name);

        this.setBlockTextureName(Constants.MODID + ":" + name);

Would look in my asset folder and find the lang file.

en_US.lang

tile.mymod_orangeBlock.name=Orange Block

item.mymod_itemorange.name=Orange Item

My current setup:

width=405 height=569http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y461/william_russell1/fml_zpsa650e39a.png[/img]

Thanks again!

Rookie Mistake!

Build > Rebuild Project

Run > Run client

I guess it wasn't compiled correctly. I'm able to update the name from the lang file. Thanks again!
