is it possible by chance that forge will update to 1.8.4 after 1.8 is stable enough/has many of the bugs with the api fixed? I ask this because 1.8 has alot of bugs in it and 1.8.4 has many of them fixed, this shouldn't be too hard nor effect modders too badly except that they will have to re-compile with the new version of forge if it comes out and 1.8.4 is after all compatible with older 1.8.X versions!
