Posted May 30, 201510 yr The title pretty much says it. I would like to get where the player is looking and make it into a ForgeDirection. Is this possible? If so, is it hard? How would I do that?
May 30, 201510 yr Well, if need a simple "compass" direction, then look at Debug screen. There is not much to say here, debug does literally same thing to check direction you are looking at (F3). Note that in 1.8, ForgeDirection is replaced (build 1296 I think) by EnumFacing (same shit, different name). EDIT Since idk how it looks in 1.7.10, here is 1.8 code: public EnumFacing getHorizontalFacing() { return EnumFacing.getHorizontal(MathHelper.floor_double((double)(this.rotationYaw * 4.0F / 360.0F) + 0.5D) & 3); } "this" is the EntityPlayer, if you don't have method like that in 1.7.10, then use something like above (or find it elsewhere). 1.7.10 is no longer supported by forge, you are on your own.
May 30, 201510 yr Ok, how do I find the code for the debug screen? I've been looking, but I can't find it.
May 30, 201510 yr In 1.8 it is in GuiOverlayDebug. In 1.7.10 I think it was inside GuiIngame. Somewhere in middle of class there is method to draw debug. Use eclipse search tools bruh 1.7.10 is no longer supported by forge, you are on your own.
