Coremods problem

I downloaded Minecraft 1.4.2, next forge 6.0.1.341. Everything was ok. then, I added Code Chicken Core 0.6.6.1 and NEI 1.4.1.1 to coremods folder, like in description.

Minecraft started but NEI didn't showed up in the game.

 

Where the problem can be??

    I had the same problem.

     

    I've read somewhere on the minecraft forums, that in Windows XP, you need to change the file extensions from .zip to .jar.

     

    It worked for me. Don't know why.
