Okay. My 6-year-old is desperate to get some of the mods he has seen on youtube into his minecraft. Be patient with me because I don't even know the proper terminology to explain what the problem is. So I know we first have to get forge. I have "downloaded" the forge 1.8 installer. We have minecraft 1.8.8...the most recent. The forge goes to my download list. In my list on my windows 7 64 bit computer there is a little Java icon in front of it. On my son's windows 7 64 bit computer there is a stupid windows media center icon. Why? The Java is up to date on his computer. When I click on the download to install windows media center opens. What do I do? Where exactly is the problem? I've been looking all over the internet for days to try and figure out how to resolve this but, with my limited experience, I'm probably not using the right key words to find an answer to my problem. I don't want him to play minecraft at my computer. UI haven't even told him it 'works" on my computer--I at least get the window with the forge picture that asks me to install client. I haven't gone any further because I want it to all work on his computer. Please, please help me. Why can't I install it on his computer? I am willing to post pictures if you don't understand what is happening. If you have a solution, I need step by step clear instructions. Don't assume that I know how to do the cmd things or such. I can probably follow instructions but each step has to be clear, clear, clear. Please help me. I don't know what to do.

Yay! It works. Now I have to figure out how to actually use forge. Thank you so much, I have been fighting this for days!
