New laptop will not load modded minecraft

So, I got a new Asus Q551ln laptop last week. 8GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia Geforce 940m and Intel 5000 Graphics, intel i7-5200. The problem is that when I try to play minecraft with mods installed, it doesn't work. It gets stuck at the Mojang loading screen, and if it ever loads, it is extremely slow, and unplayable. I used to have a Toshiba Satellite with an intel Celeron and 4gb of ram, and I could play modpacks such as Resonant Rise on that one. On this computer, it refuses to work. I've tried installing only a few mods on it, and it still doesn't work. When using Minecraft 1.7.10, it would hang up at every instance of "uploading GL texture." I even tried going back to 1.6.4 with mods, and it still didn't work. I don't know if it's because this is running Windows 10, and the other laptop was running windows 8.1, but it is getting very frustrating. This laptop can play any other game, such as Skyrim, CS:GO, COD:MW2, with no problems. I even loaded a ton of mods onto skyrim and it was perfectly fine. Also, when playing Minecraft without mods, I can run it at the highest render distance and everything and still get 60 fps. I'm just trying to learn why this is being such a problem, I just want to play.

I am having the same problem. It did not start happening until a few weeks after I upgraded to Windows 10. I have a feeling that Forge has a problem with Windows 10 or something. I can run 1.7.10 with at max 10 mods (My Development enviroment) and 1.8 just fine, It is just modpacks that are the problem, It does load (After about 30-60 mins). I hope that there is a fix soon.
