Remove ModloaderMP Dependencies - Replace with Forge

So, I'm new to the whole Minecraft modding deal and I've got an old mod from 1.2.3 that uses ModLoaderMP. I know I'm a little overeager for something like this, but I'd still like to give it a try. How do I change the mod's dependencies from ModLoaderMP to Forge?

 

P.S. I'd use the tutorials however a lot of them are older than dirt, so I'm not sure how much has changed between Minecraft and Forge between then and now.

There have been so much changes between 1.2 and 1.8, you'd be better of rewriting the whole mod.
