Hello

i'd like to put a mcmod.info to my mod.

The problem is i can't get it working. I renamed everything properly, checked the file in a JSON-parser, even reinstalled my complete JDE and tested the example mod (after renaming in mcmod.info and build.gradle)

nothing

Could anyone give me a helping hand what i may forget or overlook, thx.

Main Class: modtutorial

build.gradle:

version = "1.0"
group= "com.micky.modtutorial" // http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-naming-conventions.html
archivesBaseName = "Mod Tutorial"

minecraft {
    version = "1.7.10-10.13.4.1448-1.7.10"
    runDir = "eclipse/assets"

mcmod.info:

[
{
  "modid": "modtutorial",
  "name": "Mod Tutorial",
  "description": "Example placeholder mod.",
  "version": "${1.0}",
  "mcversion": "${mcversion}",
  "url": "",
  "updateUrl": "",
  "authorList": ["ExampleDude"],
  "credits": "The Forge and FML guys, for making this example",
  "logoFile": "",
  "screenshots": [],
  "dependencies": []
}
]

do i need to worry that "archivesBaseName" is never used?

Hello,

i found the solution.

When i set up my JDE, i just "opened" the folder where the forge stuff is.

But you need to import the build.gradle file as a new project in IntelliJ.

I didn't know this and stumbled over this again at setting textures to items. When the project isn't properly imported it doesn't find your asset-folder.

I strictly recommend this tutorial and follow it step by step http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php?topic=21354.0

Sry for my english, not my mother tongue  :D
