I downloaded the Forge Recommended 1.7.10-10.13.4.1558 and it works fine. It shows the mods on startup and shows the 3 starting mods. However, I put the optifine 1.7.10 in my mods folder and rerun minecraft. In the mods folder it didn't show optifine. I followed a step by step tutorial on yt and mine didn't work. My optifine is also a jar.

Help would be very much appreciative!

Thanks - Trees

It didn't add a note on the bottom left, it still says minecraft forge 10.13.4.1558. Thanks for fast reply though.

I just realised that the server I want to play uses 1.7.10. Would I still need to make a new gamedir?

Ok this is a tad too hard to understand for me so bear with me. I made a new folder titled MC. I also made a new profile titled Forge 1.7.10 and the new profile is using release 1.7.10-Forge10.13.2.1240. I enabled the gamedir option and now the gamedir is the MC folder. So what do I do now?
