Okay, so I'm just getting started with Minecraft modding, but have some prior Java experience. Anyways, I have a problem that I can't find anyone else that have, so I'm most likely very stupid...  8)

The problem is the error you see in the title, The import net cannot be resolved.

Example:

import net.minecraftforge.fml.common.Mod;    // Eclipse makes a red line under "net" and gives the previously named error.

Eclipse do find things like GradleStart though.

How exactly did you install your workspace?

You need to unpack Forge (Gradle) src and run 2 commands:

gradlew setupDecompWorkspace

gradlew eclipse

If you did that (and it doesn't work) - we need more info.

1.7.10 is no longer supported by forge, you are on your own.

Please, another one of these tutorials? You don't have to make a 'Forge' project for only and a mod project on top of that. This is what you have to do for a working (!!) workspace:

- Download mdk files.

- Extract them to a folder.

- Run

gradlew setupDecompWorkspace eclipse

.

- Open Eclipse in any location you want.

- Go to

File -> Import

, select your mod folder.

That's it. This should make a project with the example mod. 1 project per mod, no more, no less.

Also, from the comments of that tutorial, I see more people having problems with that setup.

Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support.

1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support.
