Im quite new to Js and ive been trying to make a mod myself, i tried going about it without help and tested for 12 hours of different codes (including tutorials, my own tests and source codes). I am having trouble trying to blink minecraft skin layers.

I have knowledge of other coding languages so im not completely new to coding. If someone could help me out that would be great. All i need is to make the skin layers (all except hat/cape) to flicker/blink at a set rate the entire time (preferred .5 seconds)

Im using forge-1.8-11.14.4.1563-mdk, ive tried:

Minecraft.getMinecraft().gameSettings.getModelParts();
for(EnumPlayerModelParts part : EnumPlayerModelParts.values())
Minecraft.getMinecraft().gameSettings.setModelPartEnabled(part, !activeParts.contains(part));

  for(EnumPlayerModelParts part : EnumPlayerModelParts.values())
   Minecraft.getMinecraft().gameSettings.setModelPartEnabled(part, true);

 EnumPlayerModelParts.JACKET.equals(false);
EnumPlayerModelParts.JACKET.func_179326_d().equals(false);
Minecraft.getMinecraft().gameSettings.setModelPartEnabled(EnumPlayerModelParts.JACKET , false);
Minecraft.getMinecraft().gameSettings.switchModelPartEnabled(EnumPlayerModelParts.HAT);

All that builds, runs well but does nothing (i attempted to keybind it too and still nothing)

For some reason this func_179326 seems to be the prefered choice when i search source codes but it doest work for me.

EnumPlayerModelParts.JACKET.equals(false);
EnumPlayerModelParts.JACKET.func_179326_d().equals(false);
Minecraft.getMinecraft().gameSettings.setModelPartEnabled(EnumPlayerModelParts.JACKET , false);

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not even 100% sure what you're trying to access here... Though from what I see I'm guessing you'll want to look into the RenderPlayerEvent

im trying to make the skin layers blink. So jacket, left arm, left left, right arm, right leg turn off then on constantly. so far its not working.

what im trying to ask for too is code that would work/am i putting the code in the right spot.
