How to get the player that use the mouse ?

    public void onMouseEvent(MouseEvent event) {
    }

 

I need the current select item of the player when he use his scroll wheel.

 

My searches give me no results.

So if I want to catch the usage of the mouse wheel on the current selected item to do some action (eg replace it by another item) is this the good way to implement it ?

Should I send to the server side a request to switch the current selected item with the one I want ? If yes, how to do that ?
