Forge opening in Internet Explorer instead of Java

I am having trouble opening opening Forge.  It is opening in Internet Explorer instead of Java.  It won't open in Java and can't use the "Open As" to open in Java..  What can I do to open in Java?

I'm having the same issue and i've downloaded JAVA and Jarfix. Forge is still trying to open with Internet Explorer.  At this point I've done everything I've found on here any suggestions?

yo i used jarfix and downloaded java but it still wants to go to internet explorer
