Posted March 28, 20169 yr I am porting code that, during an FOV event, checks to see if the player is using a mod-specific bow, and if so, adjusts the FOV. 1. Is the 1.9 replacement for player.isUsingItem() == player.isHandActive(), or something else? 2. Am I correct in thinking the 1.9 replacement for player.getItemInUse() == player.getHeldItemMainhand()? March 28, 20169 yr EntityPlayer#isUsingItem has been replaced by EntityLivingBase#isHandActive , yes. EntityPlayer#getItemInUse has been replaced by EntityLivingBase#getActiveItemStack . EntityLivingBase#getHeldItemMainhand only returns the item in the entity's main hand, regardless of which hand they're using (if any). Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.
