[1.9] Using stencil bits

Hi,

Does anyone know how to enable/use stencil bits with Forge 1.9? I read somewhere that I can use MinecraftForgeClient#reserveStencilBit and Framebuffer#enableStencil to achieve this, but I'm not sure how. Any documentation or a tutorial would be helpful. Thanks
