So i downloaded forge 1.8 and installed it. Then i downloaded chicken bones mods for 1.8: CodeChickenCore and NotEnoughItems

Mod                         Version         Downloads

CodeChickenCore 1.0.5.34 (dev) (src) (universal)

NotEnoughItems         1.0.5.82 (dev) (src) (universal)

I downloaded them from src and dragged it into my mods folder in my .minecraft folder: http://imgur.com/vNGXo5J

So i launched minecraft and with my forge 1.8 profile and it came up with this:

Minecraft 1.8

MCP v9.10

FML v8.099.99

Minecraft Forge 11.14.4.1563

3 mods loaded, 3 mods active

Then i clicked the mods and saw that there were only 3 mods in the mods list and not the mods i installed:

Minecraft Coder Pack

9.05

0 child mods

Forge Mod Loader

8.0.99.99

0 child mods

Minecraft Forge

11.14.4.1563

0 child mods

BUT NO CHICKENCODECORE OR NOTENOUGHITEMS.....

im not a person who normally mods minecraft but i watched enough tutorials to understand that what im trying to do it identical to what they are teaching but i still manage to not make the mods work.... PLS HELP BOIZ

You downloaded the source code of the mods, hence the src classifier. Download the universal builds instead.
