[1.8.9]Is there a ModelArmor?

Spyeedy

Recommended Posts

Minecraft uses

LayerBipedArmor

to render armour on bipeds. This uses a pair of

ModelBiped

s (one for the legs, one for the other pieces) with a larger scale than the entity's model.

To use a custom model for your armour, override

Item#getArmorModel

.

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.

Ah, so that's how they do it, smart, so the armors are basically a layered armor above the player's skin but a larger scale than the player, fascinating. Thanks Choonster
